About the Book:
Comfort and hope to sustain you through the months ahead.
Nothing saps your strength quite like a cancer diagnosis—unless it is the energy-stealing chemotherapy and surgeries you face in your fight against cancer. But you can find hope and strength in the pages of Scripture, and in the experience of someone who has been there.
In Strength Renewed, breast cancer survivor and registered nurse Shirley Corder combines her encouraging personal stories with powerful passages from Scripture to help you along the road to recovery. These devotions can be read in sequential order to move you through a typical cancer journey from diagnosis through treatment. But each meditation also stands on its own, so you can go directly to the entry that speaks to your need—right now.
You have a partner and a cheerleader in Shirley—and in God—on the rough road ahead. Let Strength Renewed lift you up as you travel.

DeleteHi Iola,
DeleteThank you for posting the code, but I can't read it. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. I want to post it to Twitter and FaceBook, so please will you pass on the link? Thank you.
Okay, I got the link from Jenny and posted it on Twitter and FaceBook. Hope you get some hits to your blog as a result.
DeleteI also haven't read it but have posted the info on http://booklovers1.wordpress.com/
ReplyDeleteThanks both of you.
ReplyDeleteI have read it and posted my review at http://www.coralliebuchanan.com.au/content/strength-renewed-shirley-corder-acrba-book-review
ReplyDeleteI'm going to have some trouble with the code for awhile, as the blog part of my new website isn't up yet. So forgive the fact if it isn't all set out the same as you did Jen :-) I'm hoping the code will work better when the blog is up.
Corallie, thank you for an honest and super review. I'm so sorry about our grandfather. Koorong has the book, but I've heard it's also on book shelves there. (http://www.koorong.com/search/product/productPowerSearch.jhtml?keywords=shirley+corder+-+strength+renewed&salesGroupCode=BKGI) I pray the Lord will reach out to him through the pages of this book.
DeleteThanks for taking the time to truly review Strength Renewed. I would so appreciate it if you'd post this review on Amazon as well? Thanks in anticipation.
I tweeted it and posted it on FaceBook by the way.
DeleteMy post is scheduled for Thursday, and I posted a book recommendation for Strength Renewed on my blog last year on November 8.
ReplyDeleteI haven't read it either. My husband had cancer 25 years ago and I still find it difficult to read this type of book. Nevertheless I have posted the code: http://abooklook.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/blog-tour-strength-renewed.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting the code, Susan. Just a comment. You say, "This type of book." Strength Renewed is a devotional book. It follows a cancer journey, but it is not a typical "cancer story" at all. It comprises of 90+ lessons I learned from the Lord as a result of the cancer.
ReplyDeleteThanks Shirley for the clarification :)
DeleteIt's amazing how much we learn when we go through difficult experiences.
Yes Susan, you're so right. Through this cancer journey (and other experiences, like my recent accident) I have learned the truth of Romans 8:28. God DOES work all thing for good to those who love Him . . . it just sometimes takes us a while to see it! Have a great weekend.
Deletepost is up at http://ausjenny.blogspot.com.au/2013/04/acrba-tour-strength-renewed-by-shirley.html
ReplyDeleteSorry for the delay, I will have an interview up in the morning.
